This year's event was held in the form of three separate events, including the 2019 Serious Games Festival, the 2019 Serious Games Hackathon, and the 2019 International Serious Games Symposium. As in previous periods, the 2019 Serious Games Award provided an opportunity to participate in the growth of serious games in the country with more than 700 million Tomans in cash prizes and commercialization facilities and the creation of a large network of supporters and colleagues. In this era, with a more focused look at entertainment, in addition to digital games, the event supported other serious entertainment such as board games, gamification, and simulators.

In the serious game festival of 2019, out of a total of 75 submitted works, 6 works made it to the finals, and on the day of the finals, after presenting them online to the judges, the serious game of the year was selected.

The Symposium of Serious Games 2019 was held with 6 lectures by international professors, interviews with managers and supervisors of top labs for making serious games, and presentation of oral articles.

The serious games hackathon section of 2019 was held online on Discord on December 19-21 for the first time due to the conditions of Corona and compliance with health protocols. This event was held simultaneously in addition to Tehran, hosted by Tabriz and Isfahan on behalf of the National Computer Games Foundation and with the online presence of medical, psychological, and technical mentors. Hackathon participants chose one of the topics of "Coronavirus prevention", "Coronavirus patient care" and "Lifestyle in the era of Corona" and with the financial support of the Deputy of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, they competed with the teams in their province.
